We’ve hired many different contractors/professionals over these past 20 years and I can honestly say that NONE of them compared to Mike and MSK & Sons. We were looking for someone to gut and replace two bathrooms on our 2nd floor. We got 3 estimates before Mike came by to meet with us and I could tell as soon as we met him that he was honest. Anyone who has ever hired contractors before knows that many come with big promises and always fall short, but I just had a good feeling about Mike. His estimate was by far the most reasonable and his timeline for finishing the job was fantastic! We hired him and set the date to begin in October. He was very helpful when it came to suggestions about materials and possible designs for the bathrooms and we were very excited to see how things were going to go. Fast forward six weeks and two completed bathrooms later and we are beyond happy! Mike’s craftsmanship and attention to detail are second to NONE and every day when we go into these bathrooms I still can’t believe how well he captured exactly what my husband and I wanted. But I have to say, as much as I could go on and on about his impeccable construction and design, it’s his professionalism that has me bragging about him and recommending him to everyone I know. Mike is the ONLY professional we have ever hired for a long-term job who actually started on the date he gave us, showed up every day, focused on our job, cleaned up every single day, and made good on his word 100% of the time. I’ve never heard of someone else in this business being as reliable and honest as Mike. If you are looking for the real deal, it’s Mike and MSK &Sons. We have a few more major projects we plan on doing within the next two years and Mike is our guy for all of it!

Our thirty-year old master bathroom needed a major renovation. Contracting with Mike Kubrin, owner of MSK & Sons Construction, to turn our outdated, non-functioning bathroom into a bright, spacious, sophisticated master bathroom we could actually enjoy using was the best decision ever made. Mike Kubrin is a true craftsman, a professional, a gentleman, and a man of his word. Mike’s input and suggestions were invaluable. He communicated promptly throughout the entire project, met timelines, and he and his team were so careful in my home during the renovation that I could not believe how clean everything was left at the end of each workday. While at our home, he also converted our never-used wet bar into a mini dog washing station for my two small dogs, which has been absolutely fantastic.

My wife and I have used Mike for all our renovation needs, large or small. It is not easy to find a skilled craftsman to work on our 1710 Dutch farmhouse. Whether constructing a new bathroom, installing glass tiles in our kitchen or repairing a detached garage, the standard of craftsmanship is always at the highest level. Mike’s other big project for us was the complete renovation of our grandmother’s 1941 Cape Cod house, including cathedral ceiling, dormers, kitchen, bathrooms and much more. I was so very pleased with the work done by Michael Kubrin. Michael remodeled my existing kitchen and built a master suite addition for me that included a custom walk-in closet and a tiled bath. The kitchen has become the center of my home, with an island where family and friends gather when I host meals. A large wood deck was also added which has greatly enhanced the quality of life I have in southern Monmouth county. With many summer visitors who enjoy the beach, the deck is the perfect after beach spot for bar-b-ques and relaxation.

I want to thank Mike and his crew for the great job they did remodeling our kitchen. From the very beginning, Mike took us through the design process and had some great ideas. By relocating a door and window, we were able to create a functional galley style kitchen with a great little breakfast bar. The new layout also gave us the opportunity to add a first floor bath and a composite deck right outside the new door. A sense of craftsmanship and someone who really cares about his work was shown throughout the whole project. I would like to put into words how happy I am with my new garage. MSK handled the job from start to finish. Upon first inspection, Mike knew that a variance would be needed. We immediately began that process and were granted one. Once that occurred, Mike was quick to respond to the permit application process.
